Redstone Commodity Search are working with a merchandiser looking to hire a Chief Risk Officer to join their team in North Dakota.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks.
Facilitate internal discussions to shape market outlook, devise hedging strategies, and assess key fundamental, seasonal, and technical indicators. Possess a deep understanding of grain market dynamics and risk management tools.
Focus on creating new business opportunities and strategic alliances that enhance market presence. Demonstrate strong communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders and explaining risk strategies.
Oversee professional merchandising for key clients, including crafting marketing plans, executing hedges and cash trades, managing logistics, and maintaining client communications. Exhibit excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
Formulate strategies, monitor market trends and execute required hedges. Skilled in analysing grain P&L components and managing data with precision.
Support the management of farm marketing, trading, and logistics operations as necessary. Capable of working independently under pressure, handling multiple priorities effectively, and knowledgeable about futures, spread, basis, and logistics risks.
Key Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, agricultural economics, or a related field; or an equivalent mix of education and practical work experience.
At least 3 years of experience in cash grain merchandising.
Series 3 license or the capability to obtain one.
Familiarity with cash grain trading, futures and options, and risk management strategies.
Must be located in Bismarck / willingness to relocate.
