Committed to Caring, the Office Specialist is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities of a multi-faceted home health agency to ensure smooth and efficient office and good patient relations. Works closely with the Office Manager, in conjunction with staff, physicians, outside resources to assist in the coordination of care, resolves patient problems, scheduling and additional issues that arise. Serves as back-up to the Office Manager in his/her absence to orient, train and direct staff to office policies, procedures and practices.
Experience in Scheduling, home health, hospice or healthcare preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be well organized and demonstrate attention to detail
Ability to work within a team environment and with deadlines
Strong communication skills, both oral and written with excellent interpersonal skills
Acceptance and ability to demonstrate and support the core values and goals of Agency
Must demonstrate good customer relations skills and a commitment to providing quality service
Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software
Valid driver's license, automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation required
Travel may be required
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.

Working environment is relatively quiet and can be stressful due to deadlines, multiple tasks and general compliance of law, rules and regulations. The position requires visual acuity and dexterity, sitting, standing, some pushing, pulling and lifting up to 25 pounds. Auto related accidents possible.
