Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions in a Power BI environment. This person will work closely with key business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop insightful visualizations and reports to support data-driven decision making. This is a high visibility role, reporting to and working closely with the Director of Asset Management

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, document requirements, and design Power BI solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other visualizations in Power BI.
  • Implement data modeling and optimization techniques to ensure efficient and effective data analysis.
  • Conduct data analysis and develop insights to drive business decision making process.
  • Provide training and support for Power BI to business users.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing data profiling, cleansing, and validation.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in business intelligence, data modeling, and data visualization.
  • Establish, support, and execute key components of Pennrose's organization-wide data governance and management strategy.
  • Analyze asset-level, fund-level, and portfolio-level data to create real-time performance metrics.
  • Generate insights and identify trends using a variety of data sources, both internal and external.
  • Working with all functional departments to support operational efficiency, drive financial performance, and build portfolio value.
  • Collecting, preparing, and developing daily, monthly, and quarterly statistical analyses.
  • Tracking economic and performance indicators within our real estate markets.
  • Handle internal data requests and communicate results clearly and accurately to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:
  • Passionate about the power of data management and analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, information systems, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and implementing business intelligence solutions using Power BI
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and optimization techniques
  • Expertise in SQL and experience with data modeling and database design
  • Familiarity with data warehousing in Microsoft Azure a plus
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Yardi or related property management software a plus.
  • Expert skills in Excel, familiarity with standard statistical methods.
  • Proficiency in visually representing data and producing interactive data tools or reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in translating data for non-technical audiences
  • Adaptable and collaborative, with an ability to relate well to others
  • Experience working with diverse, multi-functional teams, virtually or in-person
  • Ability to successfully work on multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Curiosity, desire for self-improvement, passion for social equity, and excitement about sharing new skills and knowledge
