Job Description:

The Labor Administrator leads our people strategy related to technical event staffing at various events, including, but not limited to concerts, corporate and trade shows, television, theater, sporting events etc and evaluating and expanding our talent pool.. In addition, the Labor Administrator manages the freelancer relationships and ensures that labor needs are met within the constraints of the show budgets and company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partners with Operations Manager to develop and execute the strategy to recruit the targeted skill sets, train and develop as needed, vet new talent, and expand our pool of freelance talent.
• Creates and submits detailed labor estimates for each project based on the client's requirements for number of persons by position and estimated number of hours and days required while managing labor expenses to maximize profit.
• Utilizes and manages the preferred staff lists for use in filling needs with the appropriate staff for each project placing the appropriate talent level, shopping freelancers to ensure competitive pricing, and negotiating labor costs, fringe, and travel.
• Clear communication with both in-house show techs & freelancers regarding availability, show details, compensation agreements, and scheduling.
• Contacts freelance personnel for their availability and works to deploy them as needed.
• Daily communication with Project Account Executives to go over details about labor budget, labor skills, production schedule, etc.
• Resolves job site and/or staffing issues, verifies requirements for each day, confirms availability of crew and increase or decrease staff size as necessary.
• Provides recommendations to leadership on present/future production needs and labor force needed to meet event objectives.
• Communicates with outside vendors to arrange stagehands or other out-of-state crew needs.
• Assist Human Resources implementing policies and procedures, recruitment, orientation, and training of staff.
• Communication with Accounting & HR to ensure payment of vendors and freelancers.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Competencies:
• Has knowledge of standard finance expensing processes.
• Can develop standards, manage processes, analyze, and report information.

• Self-motivated and passionate with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional interaction: tactful, positive, effective communicator (verbal and written).

Skills and Qualifications:
• Two (2) years working experience in the entertainment industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Availability to work "on-call" as needed for labor changes and emergencies.
• Valid drivers' license and clean MVR required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.

Physical Working Conditions:
• Available as needed including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Standard office environment.
