Overview:

As the Operational Excellence Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of operational excellence within the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, HR, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate operational excellence initiatives within the automotive plant, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in operational processes, quality, and productivity.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing processes, workflows, and systems to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement.
  • Develop and implement action plans and strategies to drive continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of implemented improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce defects, and improve overall process efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on operational excellence concepts, tools, and methodologies.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by promoting employee engagement, involvement, and empowerment.
  • Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, resolve operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with operational standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to operational excellence and process improvement in the automotive sector.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in leading operational excellence initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in process analysis, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions and workshops on operational excellence concepts.
  • Proficiency in using process improvement software and tools (e.g., Minitab)
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving measurable improvements in operational performance.
