Overview:
As the Operational Excellence Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of operational excellence within the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, HR, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate operational excellence initiatives within the automotive plant, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in operational processes, quality, and productivity.
Conduct thorough analyses of existing processes, workflows, and systems to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement.
Develop and implement action plans and strategies to drive continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of implemented improvement initiatives.
Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce defects, and improve overall process efficiency.
Provide training and guidance to employees on operational excellence concepts, tools, and methodologies.
Support a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by promoting employee engagement, involvement, and empowerment.
Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, resolve operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with operational standards and identify areas for improvement.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to operational excellence and process improvement in the automotive sector.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) are highly desirable.
Proven experience in leading operational excellence initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and methodologies.
Demonstrated experience in process analysis, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making.
Strong project management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization.
Experience in conducting training sessions and workshops on operational excellence concepts.
Proficiency in using process improvement software and tools (e.g., Minitab)
Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving measurable improvements in operational performance.
