Responsible for the development and implementation of the Richardson Project Management Program. Project Management Program will operate within the Quality Management System, assuring compliance with all applicable Medical and Electrical Device regulatory requirements. The Project Manager will personally provide a leadership role of multiple projects as well as direct Project Leaders toward successful execution of various projects related to the design and manufacture of Electrical Devices and related components.
Project Manager Job Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Operations, Engineering and Quality teams, make specified improvements to the RELL Project Management Program.
Responsibility and accountability for projects across LaFox facility. Responsible for using best practice PMO methodology to create project plans and timelines necessary to deliver desired outcomes.
Define methodology to prioritize projects and assist with manpower planning with program and department managers.
Facilitates cross functional meetings to ensure projects move forward in a timely manner.
Performs Project Tracking. Prepare, maintain, and submit progress reports of all active projects. Communicates proactively with project shareholders.
Adopts best practice. The PM is responsible for teaching and enforcing good project management practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports, oversight, and collaboration with Project Leaders
Qualification Requirements:
Knowledge of Quality Systems for the Medical Device Industry (FDA, ISO, MDSAP)
Experience in electronic device development and manufacturing.
Minimum of 5 yrs. Project Management experience
B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline
PMP certification preferred.
Effective oral and written communication skills in English
Effective Team Leadership, Interpersonal, and Training/Mentoring skills
Knowledge of 6S and Lean manufacturing
Secondary Knowledge Areas:
Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment.

Working Environment: The person will work from Richardson Electronics Corporate Headquarters in LaFox, IL. This position will require a person to be hands on, either serving as Project Leader or mentoring and assisting Project Leaders towards project completion. The successful individual will have limited availability of operations and engineering personnel for completion of tasks and will be required to take on a diverse variety of responsibilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
