The Guthrie Clinic seeks a dynamic, innovative leader to serve as Director, Surgical Services for Guthrie Lourdes Hospital. The Director, Surgical Services provides clinical leadership and administrative oversight for Surgical Services to include ORs, Pre-op, PACU and Perioperative services. The Director is an integral part of the nursing leadership team and works collaboratively with the Vice President, Surgical Services and the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure clinical excellence and compassionate care. The Director will support a professional practice environment which fosters excellence in nursing practice.
Ideal candidates for this role will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), RN licensure in the state of New York, and a minimum of eight years of progressive leadership experience in OR, Pre-Op, PACU, and Perioperative service lines.
Guthrie Lourdes Hospital - For more than a century, people in the Binghamton area have turned to Lourdes for compassionate and personalized care. The legacy continues today at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital, a 197-bed acute care facility that joined Guthrie Clinic in February 2024. Guthrie Lourdes Hospital is home to a surgery center, cancer center and birthing center. They offer Infusion services, laboratory services, complete imaging and radiology services and mental health services. Lourdes Hospice and Lourdes Home Care provide care to patients in their homes. Unique to the region, Guthrie Lourdes operates two mobile mammography vans, two mobile dental vans and a mobile medical van. The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP®) has recognized Lourdes Hospital as one of 66 participating hospitals that have achieved meritorious outcomes for surgical patient care. As a participant in this program, Lourdes is required to track the outcomes of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures and collect data that directs patient safety and the quality of surgical care improvements. The acute care facility is the recipient of numerous national awards for the high-quality care it provides to patients.
