Job Description:

We are looking for a Quantitative Developer to join our Systematic Equity Team. This role involves various projects related to the investment process, including data loading, research tools, model generation, and analytics. You'll help build a new data processing and modeling framework using Python and a cutting-edge cloud-native computing platform.

Responsibilities:

Quant Development:
  • Support and enhance the research platform and strategy/portfolio applications.
  • Develop, test, and deploy production model code.

Quant Operations:
  • Provide operational support for running quant models with researchers and investment professionals.

Platform Migration:
  • Assist in migrating code to a new Python-based research platform.
  • Partner with Technology Team members to suggest modern architectures and solutions.

Software Engineering:
  • Apply industry-standard best practices for software design and implementation.
  • Lead code reviews, provide analysis, and identify software risks.

Data Pipeline Management:
  • Design and develop efficient end-to-end data and analytical solutions using a Python stack.

Team Participation:
  • Engage in Python/new platform working groups.
  • Participate in agile/scrum activities.

Requirements:

Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, or science preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • 3-5 years of professional Python experience, including package development.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases preferred.
  • Familiarity with statistics and optimization libraries (e.g., cvxpy, Gurobi) is helpful.
  • Matlab experience is a plus.

Version Control and DevOps:
  • Strong experience with git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD DevOps and orchestration tools like Azure DevOps, Airflow, Kubernetes, and Docker is a bonus.

Cloud and Data Platforms:
  • Experience with cloud-based large data platforms such as Databricks, Synapse, and Data Lakehouse is a plus.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive in identifying and solving issues.
