Our client headquartered in the midtown Memphis area has an immediate need for an accountant to support the Director of Finance and CFO. Essential duties include closing the books and perform balance sheet reconciliations, and we are seeking a Temp contractor who is assertive and ready to dig in. Position will start Temp, and has potential to go permanent. • Prepare financial analyses and monthly reports for the CFO before board meetings. • Perform month-end close procedures, project forecasting, and assist with audit preparations. • Prepare monthly profitability analysis, margin analysis, labor analysis, and staff utilization reports for the executive team. • Collaborate with project managers to resolve discrepancies in work performed compared to contracts to ensure correct monthly billings. • Determine the appropriate approach to recognize revenue and submit invoices to customers. • Monitor project performance and compare it against the project budget, reporting any foreseeable issues. • Balance Bank Reconciliation and Cash Flow Statements for 2 sites. • Reconcile lease agreement payments, prepaid insurance, and expenses to the general ledger accounts and record journal entries inside QuickBooks. • Reclass entries to the correct account, including accruals, reversals, and intercompany transactions. • Verify and Submit Memphis payroll for processing. • Ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis for the Director of Finance.
