We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our company's growth and manage various key projects. This highly analytical and hands-on role requires a candidate who can contribute individually and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager (in conjunction with CFO) and will be based in our LA office.
Responsibilities:
Revenue and Commissions Reporting:
? Manage and improve the revenue and commissions reporting function to issue reports more frequently (weekly/monthly).
? Drive automation efforts toward dynamic financial planning tools to hasten commissions reporting.
Financial Reporting, Modeling, Frameworks and ROI Modeling:
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust financial frameworks and model ROI for various initiatives.
? Conduct financial scenario analysis to inform strategic decisions.
? Offer insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability.
Strategic Planning:
? Assist leadership in formulating medium to long-term financial and strategic plans.
? Partner with Business Unit heads to build annual budgets and rolling monthly 24-month forecasts.
Competitor and Market Analysis:
? Provide competitor analysis, market trend insights, and relevant commentary to the leadership team.
? Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic, and other business initiatives.
Variance Analysis and Reporting Solutions:
? Lead, identify, and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
? Oversee end-to-end reporting solutions for clients, including KPI/metric selection, back-end data solutions, and visualization dashboards.
? Administer the calendar for all planning cycles to meet reporting deadlines.
Ad Hoc:
? Undertake various ad hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.
Preferred Skills:
? Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
? 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related role, entertainment industry and TV/Unscripted experience a plus.
? Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and other accounting systems. Advanced Excel skills are a must.
? Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills utilized for financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
? Experience with data visualization tools and financial software.
? Ability to present complex financial information to Executive Management clearly and concisely.
? Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate at all levels within the organization.
? Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
? Demonstrated initiative in anticipating and exceeding the business demands of senior-level managers.
