Walk West is seeking a Director of Growth to lead our business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining and growing valuable pipeline opportunities and fostering relationships with prospects through thoughtful and strategic networking. This role will set long- and short-term goals, identify new business opportunities, and contribute heavily to Walk West's revenue growth. This position requires:
Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated success in sales and business development in the marketing and advertising industry
Experience working at an agency with marketing background
A deep awareness of marketing and the tactics deployed to create advertising materials
Excellent self awareness and time-management skills
Knowledge of the sales process from initiation to close
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organization and ability to manage multiple meetings, follow ups and pitches
Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently
Solid negotiation skills and the ability to build strong intentional relationships with prospects, team and management
Ability to deep-dive into a prospect's business and provide thoughtful information to inform pitches
A team player that encourages teamwork and creativity
Excellent managerial skills and the ability to grow the BD team as business needs grow
In order to perform this job successfully, the Director of Growth must:
Gain a solid grasp of Walk West capabilities
Build confidence and relationships with prospects and team members
Prepare long-term and short-term goals and sales team purposes
Develop and present information and recommendations to prospects professionally
Deliver pitch decks, RFPs, budget and timelines to prospects
Estimate and establish cost parameters, budgets, and potential ROI related to prospect's requests
Develop and distribute a brief with the teams that guides to well-informed ideas and execution of deliverables
Coordinate with cross functional teams internally to ensure pitches are completed on time and with enough time for the team to contribute and be successful
Manage records of revenue, and other important data for the business development team
Represent company to portfolio prospects
Ensure teams are well prepared for pitch opportunities
Present reports on BD progress, revenue, and goals
Present capabilities and coordinate, attend, and contribute to intro/pitch meetings as needed
Ensure sales process is linked to successful client onboarding
Carefully review and edit scopes of work for discussion with leadership team
Identify areas to create efficiencies
Motivate team members to exceed expected goals
Supervise the BD Manager
