TYR Sport, Inc. is seeking a true visionary with an entrepreneurial spirit for the VP of Marketing position. This person should have a proven track record for developing strategic online and offline consumer and partnership marketing initiatives. This position manages a team of senior marketing professionals and works closely with Creative, Product, and Merchandising teams. The VP of Marketing will be responsible for spearheading marketing strategies to ultimately increase brand awareness, brand value, sales, and profits.
Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Act as thought leader on all aspects of marketing from offline to online, performance to brand marketing, and inspire team members
Lead the Marketing team by setting vision and developing strategies for influencer marketing, brand marketing, consumer marketing, digital & social media marketing, PR, and partnership marketing/business development
Ensure marketing strategies and goals are communicated cross-functionally and come through across all customer touch-points
Create and nurture a collaborative environment by working closely and effectively with Product, Merchandising, Operations, and Sales teams
Define customer and sales goals and the KPIs to manage towards and goal-set for the marketing team
Leverage data to make informed decisions regarding marketing investments and priorities
Analyze all stages of the user funnel and all customer segments for opportunities to optimize
Use competitive research and benchmark analysis to ensure growth and leadership
Develop ground-breaking marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, relevance, and value
Develop and manage marketing budget and monitor ROI on all marketing spend
Qualifications and Competencies:
Demonstrated ability to contribute at both a strategic and operational level, providing leadership and insights while being hands-on
Strong balance between analytical aptitude and visionary envelope-pusher who thrives in a creative, yet data-driven environment
Confident decision-maker with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful, impactful marketing strategies
Deep understanding of analytical software tools, social platforms, and CRM systems
Proven ability to develop, motivate, and mentor direct reports
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, multi-task, and flourish in a rapidly changing environment
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree required
A minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience in marketing in a brand-driven digital company is required.
PR experience required.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced and high-growth stage environment is preferred.
