Summary

Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Manager, this full-time, non-exempt hourly role is responsible for efficient operations of the core banking software and ancillary solutions (core systems), along with related hardware and software, operating systems, training, coordination, maintenance and support.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Performs daily data processing functions and period end processing, ensures daily data backup, system maintenance, and implements projects related to the core systems as assigned.
  2. Engages with all vendors and solutions associated with the core systems. Provides primary support and takes ownership for troubleshooting technical issues related to the core systems.
  3. Provides excellent service and support for all core-related applications and solutions. Troubleshoots, recommends resolutions and/or workarounds, and manages approved system controls as needed to support business objectives.
  4. Assist with the implementation of core system software updates and collaborates with internal and external resources to successfully implement changes in both test and production environments. Determine release schedule for vendor applications and follow change management guidelines for software updates and enhancements.
  5. Develops and supports process automation to deliver efficiencies for core related solutions. This includes completing data analysis, evaluating various processes to create additional efficiencies throughout the organization. Maintains appropriate documentation for all core systems and solutions.
  6. Manages communications between vendors and the Credit Union. Communicate core systems related issues to management. Assist in the disaster recovery testing and implementation. Follows change management guidelines, including submitting and following change requests.
  7. Assists in documenting and tracking core systems hardware and software performance and problems, coordinates with users to minimize the impact of scheduled and unscheduled downtime.
  8. Responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining various electronic forms within the Jack Henry Symitar PowerFrame environment. Maintain version control for all forms to track changes and updates accurately. Work closely with Credit Union stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the technical aspects of form integration within the PowerFrame environment. Collaborate with end-users and subject matter experts to ensure forms meet their specific needs.
  9. Generates the data processing schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly job streams. Coordinates with various departments to establish, modify, and document processing schedules and system interdependencies required to meet the changing business needs. Ensures daily, monthly, and yearly batch process automation is successful.

10. Represents the Credit Union to the member in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Has working knowledge of the services offered by the Credit Union. Understands, promotes and adheres to the policies of the Credit Union. Practices confidentiality as indicated in employee matters and Credit Union operations.

11. Cooperates and works together as a team with co-workers, maintains a neat work area, and performs other related duties as assigned by management. Treat other employees with respect. Contribute and maintain a positive working atmosphere and team environment.

12. Weekend and extended shifts are required for updates, upgrades, project rollouts and maintenance as needed. Available for after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications and Certifications
• Associate's Degree in similar or related field required.
• 3-5 years of similar or related experience.
• Knowledge of credit union products and services and practical experience with Jack Henry Symitar, and other Jack Henry solutions (Synergy, Synapsys, Enterprise Workflow, PowerFrame, etc.) preferred.
