The Network Administrator, reporting to the Assistant Director of Information Technology, ensures the efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing, maintaining, and securing network systems, servers, and associated applications both on-site and in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support network infrastructure (switches, routers, Wi-Fi, telephony, VPN, Firewalls)
Apply patches, upgrades, and updates
Monitor and optimize network performance
Develop and document network operation procedures
Assist with physical and virtual server management
Plan and implement server and network hardware/software upgrades
Respond to Cyber Security alerts
Manage Active Directory policies and security (local/Azure)
Maintain DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols
Ensure interoperability between on-site and cloud services
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Provide end-user training and support
Handle Help Desk requests efficiently
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
Five years of relevant experience
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a diverse community
