eNGINE is hiring a Network Security Engineer to support our client in the utilities industry. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain secure network architectures for Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Firepower, and web content filtering solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Will be responsible for the design and architecture, configuration, project builds and operational support of Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Firepower, and web content filtering solutions.
  • Apply security control frameworks and architectural models, such as zero trust, to enhance network security operations, with a focus on industrial environments like ICS/SCADA/OT.
  • Work effectively within and across teams, demonstrating strong partnership and communication skills.
  • Generate formal documentation, including process and procedure development, as well as threat and incident reports.
  • Analyze network traffic for forensic or threat hunting exercises, with a preference for candidates with incident response experience.
  • Possess knowledge of modern technology environments, including on-prem data centers, cloud services, network topologies, and applications, with a strong preference for ICS/SCADA experience.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of direct experience in network security engineering.
  • 3-5+ years of experience with Palo Alto and Cisco Firepower.
  • 2+ years of experience with design and architecture, configuration of network security infrastructure.
  • PCNSE, GIAC, CISSP, and/or CCNA/NP certifications are high desired for this role
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently or as part of a team on various projects and operational support initiatives.
