Job Description:

People & Culture Project Manager

Location: New York

Our client is hiring for a People & Culture (P&C) Project Manager (internal title: P&C Officer) in New York. You will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing the HR budget while ensuring their processes meet the evolving needs of our function. This position is available either on a fixed-term basis for 18 months or as a permanent role.

The New York office follows a hybrid model where the employee is required to attend the office at least 10 days out of the month.

Your Role:

Portfolio Management:
  • Develop and monitor the HR budget, ensuring continuous optimization.
  • Report monthly on P&C programs, projects, and critical tasks, highlighting potential risks and challenges.

Project, Process, and Change:
  • Collaborate with specialists to scope projects and create detailed project charters.
  • Implement a standardized project management methodology and establish a robust change management framework.
  • Update P&C processes as necessary based on project impacts.

Reporting and Analytics:
  • Define performance measures and collect data for regular management reporting using Workday tools (HRIS and Adaptive).
  • Analyze and develop insights for half-year and yearly HR reporting.
  • Support organizational reporting and analytics needs in collaboration with Advisory partners.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple workstreams and significant change management.
  • Experience in a project management office managing the portfolio, projects, and resourcing needs.
  • Experience developing a change management approach.
  • Background in management consulting or a similar role outside of HR.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail (expert level in Excel).
  • Experience in process management, mapping, and optimization.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and growth in diversity, equity, inclusion, antiracism, and social justice.
  • A humble approach to listening and working respectfully with all people, ensuring diverse perspectives are heard and valued.

Desirable (but Not Required):
  • Experience in a project management office.
  • Workday reporting experience.
