Great opportunity to join a SaaS technology company as a Sr. DevOps Engineer! There are 2 openings: one with our GCP-based product and one with our Azure-based product. You will lead the implementation and management of our DevOps practices, focusing on leveraging Azure & GCP environments. You will join a team of 5 onshore DevOps Engineers and will also work with our offshore DevOps team based in India.
This is a 6 to 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
You can work 100% remotely, but must be able to travel to Dallas, TX once per quarter. You can live anywhere in EST or CST zones, but candidates based in Dallas are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the deployment and management of DevOps practices across Azure & GCP, utilizing Kubernetes for orchestration to ensure robust, scalable service deployment.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the consistent, secure provisioning of cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop technical specifications, and implement solutions that enhance security, streamline workflows, and provide clear visibility into our systems.
Oversee technology and software development projects, ensuring they align with DevOps principles and infrastructure engineering practices.
Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams, leveraging your Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes expertise to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Develop and maintain tools and processes to automate repetitive tasks, focusing on CI/CD pipelines to facilitate high-velocity delivery and reduce manual interventions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using automation and DevOps best practices to enhance system resilience and operational productivity.
Implement advanced CI/CD practices integrated with Azure & GCP to ensure the continuous delivery and deployment of software applications.
Work closely with Development teams to optimize the release process, ensuring fast and error-free deployments through automated pipelines.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, focusing on enhancements in cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
Adopt and advocate for advanced monitoring solutions like Dynatrace to effectively monitor applications and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
7+ years as a DevOps Engineer, or 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer if you have a CS Degree from a top-tier university
3+ years of Kubernetes in a production environment
3+ years of Terraform in a production environment
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
Experience ensuring continuous, high-velocity delivery and automated deployment through software provisioning, config. mgmt, source code mgmt, and team collaboration apps
Proficiency in developing automation scripts in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell
Demonstrated experience with cloud monitoring software
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams and promoting collaboration
