Job Title: Systems Administrator/IT Specialist - 28806
Position Type: Full time - Regular
Shift: 7AM - 4PM, M-F
Pay: Starting from $90,000 per year
Job Summary: Provides essential support by handling hardware, software, and network issues, keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Focus: The focus will be on both Servers and Network. Initial time breakdown will be approximately 75% network, 25% servers. Strong Server, Networking, and Infrastructure background.
Administer and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the network through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
System Administration:
Manage and support server infrastructure, including operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
User Support:
Provide technical support to end-users for networking-related issues.
Assist in the setup and configuration of workstations, laptops, and other end-user devices.
Security Management:
Implement and enforce security measures to protect the network and systems from unauthorized access and potential threats.
Conduct security audits and respond to security incidents in collaboration with the IT security team.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Keep an inventory of hardware, software, and network resources.
Key Skills:
We value experience, dedication, and drive over a college degree. We are looking for a Bachelor degree equivalent in hands-on experience.
Proven experience as an IT Specialist with a focus on networking.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and security practices.
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Proficiency in the administration of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA or similar are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
18 Years of Age or Older
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
US Citizenship required
Physical Requirements:
Required to stand, walk, simple grasp, reach with hands and arms
Prior Helpful Experience May Include:
Proficiency in both Linux and Windows servers
Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment and working knowledge of information security systems.
Risk identification and management
Data management and analysis
Strong Server, Networking, and Infrastructure background.
Pay Disclosure:
"The pay range for this position starts at $90,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered."
