The Solon, Ohio site is dedicated to designing and manufacturing both projection X-ray and 3D Computed Tomography (CT) systems, incorporating state-of-the-art X-ray generation and detection technology.

Job Description:

The job title will be determined based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. You will be responsible for
• Design system level electronics architecture
• Develop analog and digital signal processing electronics from scratch
• Ensure electrical component and system designs have appropriate analytical verification, production level validation, and field-testing
• Lead and motivate other engineers, technicians, and PCB designers in a team environment

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience with design and development of electronics for medical x-ray CT is highly desired, nuclear physics detector design is a plus
  • . Experience and success with low noise, small analog signal detector readout electronics, as well as analog to digital converting circuits
  • Experience implementing digital/data processing algorithm with DSP, FPGA or ARM

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in EE or related discipline & 8+ years of work experience.
  • Experience with digital/data signal processing with Xilinx FPGA or ARM MCU, DSP, etc.
  • Working knowledge of PCB layout and electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with product safety and EMC regulatory standards and agency testing and trouble-shooting.
  • Circuit design and implementation experience in such areas as CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, Load Drivers, Motor Control, Microcontrollers/Microprocessors, Memory, On-Board Power Management
  • knowledge of high-speed digital design techniques and communication bus interface and standards, PCIe, DDR, LVDS, Serdes, transmission line, termination, eye diagram, etc.
  • Experience with electronics design tools such as schematic capture (Cadence Allegro, Altium, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent), with experience of stackup definition, design constraints, SI/PI experience, HyperLynx experience is a plus.
  • Experience with IEC 60601 and other medical device related standards through regulatory testing and into clinical use.
  • Experience working with SPI, I2C, UART, PLL, ADC, DAC, Op-amp, filter, power supply design and monitoring.
  • Support manufacturing process, test plans, test fixture designs, etc.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting board issues and implementing tests at system level
  • JTAG Debug experience
  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscope (Tektronix MSO/MDO, DMM, power supply, signal generator, network analyzer, LCR meter, etc.
