A leading manufacturer in the commercial plumbing systems industry, with a history dating back to 1906, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer III at our Andover, MA location. This role involves developing, maintaining, and specifying manufacturing processes to produce our product lines efficiently and economically.
Responsibilities:
Determine and establish manufacturing engineering requirements for machinery, equipment, tooling, methods, processes, and routing.
Support shop floor personnel in troubleshooting process and quality issues.
Prepare routings, process sheets, work instructions, and process drawings; establish operating parameters such as feeds, speeds, and cycle times for various equipment.
Recommend, justify, and implement new equipment and processes.
Analyze, review, and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
Assist in designing products to develop "Design for Manufacturing" parts and processes.
Identify and implement cost reductions in plant manufacturing operations.
Maintain production equipment and perform facilities maintenance.
Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in manufacturing technologies, processes, methods, and assembly.
Strong ability to collaborate with coworkers, shop personnel, and external vendors.
Experience with LEAN manufacturing techniques.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
