The ideal candidate will be working on RISC-V microprocessor and memory designs. We have a memory testchip that needs to be tested in the lab and characterized. The chip has a JTAG interface which will be used for testing and characterization.
We need to bring-up jtag hw and associated software/IDE to achieve this objective. The hardware (Segger J-Link probe) will connect a host PC to the memory testchip's jtag interface and the software will be used to control and monitor the jtag controller on the chip.
For characterization, there are programmable power-supplies connected to the testboard as well as thermal handlers to vary the temperature. They will also be controlled by software running on the host PC.
Job Requirements:
Bring up the hw test platform and automation software. This includes writing functions around Segger's probe and IDE to enable easier testing of jtag-based design
Bring up the hardware and develop voltage and temperature testing capabilities (on Keithley DMM6500 and Rigol DP800 Series)
Write tests (ie jtag commands) that will be used for the bring-up and characterization of the chip. This would include script automation for characterization
Document the tests and all other work that is performed for this project
Work with other engineers in our lab for this characterization effort
Qualifications:
Experience with jtag hardware probes (preference Segger probes)
Experience with jtag IDEs and automation (preference Segger IDE)
HW/SW chip debug experience
Lab automation skills using a scripting language (eg. python)
