About the Role: The Applications Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support to the company's clients in the cutting tool and machine tool industries. This position requires extensive travel, with 70% overnight travel, to ensure customer satisfaction and promote the company's advanced machining solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding CNC turning and milling applications.
Develop and implement machining processes for high-temperature alloys using multi-axis CNC machines.
Collaborate with customers to optimize tool geometry and enhance performance using Unigraphics NX and modeling software.
Utilize expertise in ceramic, carbide, PCD, solid and indexable cutting tools, and equipment to solve complex machining challenges.
Conduct on-site troubleshooting and training for customers, ensuring optimal use of our products.
Assist in the design and development of new cutting tools and machining techniques.
Support the sales team with technical presentations and product demonstrations.
Qualifications:
Must be authorized to work in the US.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining, specializing in multi-axis CNC turning and milling applications.
At least 5 years of experience working with high-temperature alloys.
Proficient in tool geometry, Unigraphics NX, and modeling.
Background in CNC turning and multi-axis milling, utilizing ceramic, carbide, PCD, solid and indexable cutting tools and equipment.
Experience in tool geometry, grinding, and EDM processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel extensively, with 70% overnight travel required.
