About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Thermal Validation Engineer to join our team and lead the thermal validation of our cutting-edge server systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring optimal thermal performance, preventing downtime, and maximizing efficiency for our advanced server technology.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for thermal validation of server systems, encompassing various cooling methodologies (air and liquid cooling), environmental conditions, and stress tests.

Analyze test data, identify potential thermal issues, and propose design improvements to optimize thermal performance and reliability.

Conduct airflow analysis, component-level thermal analysis, and utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software to simulate and predict thermal behavior.

Generate detailed test reports and effectively communicate findings to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and thermal design engineers throughout the server development and verification process.

Stay up-to-date on the latest thermal management technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

5+ years of experience in server thermal validation, data center cooling, or a related field.

Extensive knowledge of heat transfer principles, thermodynamics, and thermal management techniques.

Strong understanding of server architecture and components. Fully understand of the cooling components required by the server, and master relevant knowledge such as radiators, fans, air vents, and cooling performance evaluation.

Proficiency in using thermal testing equipment (e.g., thermal chambers, anemometers), wind tunnel, CDU, data acquisition systems, and CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, FloTHERM).

Familiar with sound pressure and sound power measurement techniques and specifications

Familiar with the testing software and capable of writing automated test scripts

Ability to operate and verify liquid cooling systems.

Proven ability to develop and document comprehensive test plans and generate detailed reports.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
