Clayton Services is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a thriving company in South Houston. The Engineer will be responsible for continuously improving manufacturing processes.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
Set continuous improvement goals and execute action plans.
Provide daily support for manufacturing processes, quality, equipment functionality, uptime, and KPI management.
Apply lean manufacturing skills to reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve workflows.
Train production, technician, and support staff on processes.
Support DOE, 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma, and DFP analyses and Kaizen activities.
Collaborate with NPD and Design Engineering to revise and sustain product designs, providing mechanical engineering expertise.
Develop and manage project schedules for product launches and design modifications.
Assist in redesigning internal components to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop engineering solutions through problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
Participate in cross-functional teams for product modifications and improvements.
Support new product pilot runs and mass production preparations.
Partner with Design Engineering to produce rapid prototypes using machining, welding, and sewing.
Create preventive maintenance plans to maintain equipment without compromising quality or capability.
Build R&D test samples to validate new designs and concepts.
Fabricate test fixtures and equipment for R&D and Compliance projects.
Develop manufacturing jigs and fixtures for new and existing products.
Support VA/VE projects with manufacturing and prototyping expertise.
Adhere to company processes and ISO procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Up to 10% of domestic/international travel is required.
Manufacturing Engineer Skills and Abilities:
Strong grasp of manufacturing engineering theory, processes, and practices.
Expertise in at least two areas: Fall Protection Equipment (Hard and Soft Goods), assembly processes, or manufacturing engineering support.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts: Kaizen, value stream mapping, Kanban, demand flow technology, line balancing, and time studies.
Proficient in core manufacturing documentation: PFMEAs, PCPs, PFDs, DFA/DFM, high-volume manufacturing, and engineering change processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, compliance, and attention to detail.
Strong project management skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for all organizational levels.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for teamwork.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Basic statistics knowledge.
Manufacturing Engineer Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering is required.
A minimum of two years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role is required.
Experience working in the safety products industry is a plus.
