Job Description:

The ideal candidate possesses both a high level of technical expertise in problem solving, CNC machining and extensive experience in the field will be essential in driving our production capabilities forward. You will play a critical role in creating and refining processes in order to improve manufacturing safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes that meet quality standards and production goals.
  • Utilize your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues in production, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Optimize CNC machining operations, including programming, tooling selection, and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and capacity planning to support decision-making related to manufacturing processes and equipment investments.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leading lean manufacturing projects, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence on the shop floor.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel to ensure the successful implementation of new processes and technologies.

  • Performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Federal, State, and local standards and regulations.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding safety and standards of workplace behavior, in completing job duties and assignments

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or technical school with at least two years running a CNC mill, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles within a machining environment.
  • Proven expertise in CNC machining operations, including programming (G-code), setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a track record of implementing effective solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
