One of our clients in Torrance, California is looking for a PCBA Buyer with the following skills and experience:
Job Summary: Seeking a knowledgeable and proactive PCBA Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and related components. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Top Technical Skills
Extensive PCBA experience, including design and development at DEC.
Expertise in harnessing, cabling, connectors, and consumables.
Proficient in build-to-print electronics and partial turnkey PCBA solutions.
Skilled in indirect procurement, such as IT equipment, software, consulting services, facilities, and food contracts, with a focus on cost savings.
Strong price negotiation abilities.
Versatile in handling tasks of all sizes, from complex projects to simple orders.
Proficient in using spreadsheets and ERP systems for procurement processes.
Collaborative experience working with engineers in aerospace, defense, and Anduril sectors.
Successful hiring and managing of production teams, including those for medical devices, with knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
Experience with international procurement and logistics.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to PCBA.
