Our client is a major player in the direct lending space focused on providing short-term financing solutions, including bridge loans, fix & flip projects, and ground-up construction loans for real estate investors.
They're seeking an experienced processor to join their team in South Florida.
Type: Permanent, Direct Hire (Full-time, In-office)
Compensation: $60-$70K Salary + per file bonus paid monthly
Responsibilities:
In Office:
Review and verify loan applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
Confirm applicant information, including employment, income, and credit history.
Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to determine creditworthiness.
Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to obtain additional information or resolve discrepancies.
Prepare loan files for underwriting and submit to appropriate departments for approval.
Coordinate with borrowers, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the loan process to ensure a smooth closing.
Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions and update loan files as needed.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including Fair Housing regulations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in financial services or a related field, such as credit analysis or loan processing.
Familiarity with the mortgage lending process and loan officer responsibilities.
Knowledge of underwriting guidelines and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex financial information.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with any mortgage servicing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
Experience with private lenders/hard money lending preferred.
