Position Summary

Pin Oak Energy Partners is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Land Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land management within the oil and gas industry, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. This role will involve a variety of responsibilities related to landowner relations, documentation, payments, mapping, and miscellaneous land work. The Senior Land Administrator will support our operations and ensure smooth communication and transactions with landowners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Landowner Relations:
  • Assist landowners with lease, land, and interest-related questions and inquiries.
  • Handle landowner complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Intake, analyze, and process all interest transfers, maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage small owner-interest buyouts and sales.
  • Field and respond to land and land administration calls.

Documentation:
  • Record all relevant documents in applicable counties.
  • Notarize documents as needed.
  • Prepare, edit, and compile exhibits and supporting documentation for acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to prepare supplemental Lease, Right-of-Way (ROW), and Surface documents.
  • Create and adhere to an internal document management process to ensure correspondence, instruments, records, and all other data are filed, imaged, and indexed appropriately for retrieval and analysis.

Payments:
  • Track and process all monthly, yearly, and quarterly Lease, ROW, and Surface payments.
  • Maintain and update payment spreadsheets for accounting purposes.
  • Analyze leases to determine shut-ins and lease payments due annually.
  • Assist the accounting department with Division of Interest (DOI) issues.

Mapping:
  • Prepare Geographic Information System (GIS) maps for various company needs.
  • Organize and compile data for mapping purposes.

Miscellaneous Land Work:
  • Work in Ohio and Pennsylvania to cure leases and facilitate well-turn-on and unit development.
  • Secure Pennsylvania landowner waivers as necessary.
  • Maintain and update the database of lease files.
  • Participate in, provide input for, and lead land-related projects as needed.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Validate ownership, property, and production information related to our core business processes.
  • Responsible for creating, revising, maintaining, and organizing all land-related records.
  • Account for DOIs and periodic revisions of DOIs.
  • Support internal accounting staff by making available ownership information to allow for accurate and timely processing of production volumes, production revenue, and joint interest billing.
  • Ensure proper transfer of DOI in Pin Oak's systems.
  • Responsible for Division Order-related correspondence and documents.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and mail from landowners, internal employees, and external business partners regarding title issues, land inquiries, and account questions.

Qualifications:
  • BS degree or 6+ years of applicable experience
  • AAPL Registered Land Professional (RLP) or Certified Professional Landman (CPL) a plus
  • Hold a current real estate license in the state of Ohio a plus
  • Contract Administration
  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas land operations
  • GIS mapping skills preferred
  • Advanced analytical skills and superior attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills
  • Understand how to calculate all division of interest ownership types and burdens
  • In-depth knowledge of essential requirements of ownership transfers and the ability to interpret the effects of a wide range of ownership-transfer documents.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills as well as conflict resolution ability
  • Ability to work in a team environment and cross-train in other disciplines.
