The Role
Our Hollywood, AL location currently has an opportunity for a Lean Manufacturing Manager, who will lead the development and deployment of Lean tools and methodologies in order to meet company goals and improve manufacturing operations. They will manage Continuous Improvement activities, coordinate the implementation of Lean tools in different departments, and ensure all methodologies are adhered to.
Duties & Responsibilities
Utilize strong understanding of Lean principles in order to make the company's industrial processes and production flows more reliable and improve industrial performance
Lead and design Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies in order to improve plant operations and processes
Build and facilitate multidisciplinary short and long-term Lean activities
Implement and follow up Lean improvements, including the sustainment of results
Identify problem areas and develop organizational improvements
Observe and analyze the production and logistics processes already in place in order to establish a diagnosis and identify areas for improvement
Create new Lean Manufacturing standards
Define methods of change, carry out transformation follow-ups and guide all teams concerned
Ensure system rules and methodologies are adhered to
Contribute to the definition and monitoring of the plant's performance improvement plan
Skills & Experience
Experience implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment
Advanced knowledge of Lean tools; i.e. Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Creating Continuous Flow, Root-Cause Problem Solving
Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; or equivalent Lean-focused experience
