Nature of Work

Under administrative direction, this position manages the development of procurement documents for various Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) and Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) systems, and evaluates the technical document for compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to the system for the statewide implementation of procedures and training for the use of the EBT processes for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Special Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SSNAP), Women, Infants and Children (WIC), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Foster Care and Child Care Programs.

This position:
  • Provides statewide oversight of the implementation and benefits delivery of EBT services, related services to State programs, supportive services assistance payments SSNAP, SNAP, WIC, and Childcare.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates ongoing operating procedures and policies related to all county offices and WIC Clinic operations for the us of the EBT vendor operating systems.
  • Provides ongoing management of EBT contracts.
  • Directs EBT staff, establish performance expectations, monitor individual performance achievements and trace unit benchmark accomplishments.

Minimum Qualifications

Training: Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a degree in the area of assignment.

Substitution: Experience as described below may substitute for the training requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Experience: Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid administrative or supervisory experience in the area of assignment.

Special Requirement: A valid driver's license may be required.

Other Information

Graduate course work from an accredited college or university may substitute at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for every one (1) year of required experience.
