Job Description:

Responsible for providing leadership for stock & non-stock Inventory for Synergy's manufacturing facilities. This role provides supervision for the processing of cycle counts, validation of R&D lab inventory, re-counts, researching discrepancies/variances, processing of approved junk material, relabeling, food safety, quality, efficiency, and inventory accuracy. In this role you will be responsible for meeting the daily cycle count schedule. Must have the ability to follow company policies, follow standard operating procedures, read labels on raw materials, finished goods, and follow safety procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of plant inventory analysts (3)Communicate with all departments daily with discrepancies/variances that impact cost and production.Report inventory discrepancies to management, analyze cycle counts via cycle count worksheet provided, requests from a department and year-end inventory counts.Report operational and inventory data on specified forms.Provide leadership on Inventory questions to staff.Understand the Inventory impact and importance of food safety and its role in our products.Play a major role in RFD scanning process with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Analyze slow-moving, obsolete and expiring inventory along with the root causes

Follow SOPs to include all the aboveTravel (< 25%) required in order to support each location's inventory analyst

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED, documentation skills, math skills with at least 8 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the production team and supporting departments (finance, QC, maintenance, planning, warehouse, purchasing and customer service)
  • Must have attention to detail to plan and schedule the Inventory Department workload, monitor labor requirements needed and keep the Inventory area clean and audit ready.
  • Ability to lift and weigh 50lbs
  • Must follow safety requirements and ensure the production & Inventory team follows the PPE requirements (safety shoes, safety glasses, safety gloves, face shield and respirator).
  • Strong computer skills to report results from cycle counts as well as other inventory reporting.
  • Troubleshooting or problem-solving skills to determine causes of any inventory inaccuracies or Quality hold mixes and make recommendations to potential fixes.
