Job Description:

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsible for coordinating and the administration of all Bioscience trade shows, workshops and courses with department members. Responsible for Division consignment administration of trade show, workshop and other division inventory requirements. Support and work with the division's Product Managers and Specialists with all aspects of product marketing activities including but not limited to trade shows, workshops, Imaging Centers, training sessions, new product launches, etc. Communicate and liaison with sales department, SBAM team, communications and agencies regarding these activities and provide company wide information distribution regarding above product marketing activities.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • National and Clinical Trade show, workshop, and course administration and coordinating the related division activities.
  • Plan, secure and maintain trade show, workshop and training consignments.
  • Set up equipment for courses, workshops and training equipment, and support students/instructors during the courses and workshops as needed.
  • Check in / check out division consignments and prepare and maintain show trunk logistics and their accuracy.
  • Perform on-site physical inventories at MBL, Imaging Centers, Partner in Research facilities and HQ as needed.
  • Coordinate with Trade Show & Marketing Manager for preliminary show contract planning, booth space selection, booth layout and action response to meet deadlines.
  • Work with Product Managers, Sr. Product & Technology Manager, SBAM and Sales Managers to determine product stations and select booth staff for shows and support staff for courses and workshops.
  • Prepare and conduct pre and post trade show meetings with Marketing and Product teams.
  • Establish internal numbers for trade shows in SAP. Monitor expenses and process incoming invoices related to tradeshows.
  • Prepare accurate equipment based on product configurations, oversee SAP orders and follow through on allocation, backorders, consignment and shipping process.
  • Work with and support the receiving and clearing of the show consignments with operation center personnel.
  • Maintain product and accurate inventory of product in the showroom for training and demos.
  • Organize, prepare and maintain consignments for MBL, CSHL, MDI, Imaging Centers, PIR's as instructed by Sr. Product & Technology manager, or division PM's and specialists.
  • Produce monthly report on Trade Show activities and preparations as well as consignment control reports and progress to consignment reduction plan and timely turnover.

ANCILLARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist SBAM team with their consignment requests and product needs for training courses as well as PIR product requirements.
  • Research reasons for missing products on consignments, prepare statistical reports as to losses and submit write-off requests to management.
  • Assist in pre-meeting activities and provide written updates to booth staff and management regarding show events and activities.
  • Have a firm understanding of Microscopy products and applications to be able to perform the duties of this job efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist in other division functions and duties as required or needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • BA, BS, BBA or equivalent
  • 2-4 years Product Marketing and/or Trade Show involvement or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Microscopy and imaging knowledge and experience a plus
  • Excellent Skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) BW reporting skills
  • Working understanding of SAP and Salesforce preferred
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Strong ability to compile data and generate reports and consignment lists.
  • Ability to work under pressure and accomplish objectives with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (includes overnight travel)
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing so that others will understand.
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional and approachable demeanor across the Company including but not limited to, employees, co-workers, management, and customer liaisons.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours as needed.
