Job Description: As an Environmental Partner, you will play a crucial role in expanding our environmental law practice. You will leverage your extensive experience to provide high-quality legal counsel to our clients. Your expertise will guide clients through complex environmental regulations, compliance issues, and litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage environmental law cases, including litigation, regulatory compliance, and transactional work.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging your existing book of business.
Advise clients on federal, state, and local environmental regulations and ensure compliance.
Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings.
Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and staff within the environmental practice group.
Contribute to business development and marketing efforts to grow the environmental law practice.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in environmental law and policy.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New York State Bar.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental law, with a strong track record of successful case outcomes.
Proven ability to manage a portable book of business valued at $500,000 or more.
In-depth knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, RCRA, and/or other relevant laws.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
