Job Description

The Site Director will be responsible for supporting the rapid growth of the company's new plant and ensuring delivery of products on quality, time, and cost with a high standard for Health and Safety performance. The role involves ramping up a new facility, structuring and implementing a new organization, and integrating the company's culture within the team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to hire and develop a talented team with high standards for quality and lean execution. They will be part of the management team, supporting the strategic direction that will ensure the company's expansion and rapid growth.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement the Operating Model of the facility according to the company's standards of excellence.
  • Manage daily plant delivery, quality performance, budget, and forecast.
  • Define and execute the Strategic Plan of the company that will impact the Arizona facility.
  • Establish and implement lean manufacturing management systems, including KPIs, continuous improvement, and a lean culture with employees.
  • Implement a strong EHS culture across the site with a zero-incident objective and mindset.
  • Manage site operations and serve as the main point of contact with local authorities.
  • Responsible for yearly planning for capacity, production schedule, and budget.
  • Implement and influence the culture evolution of the site according to the company's values.
  • Develop a strong and efficient team, including employee development plans and growth potential.
  • Combine a deep cross-functional business understanding with a long-term industry-wide strategic context for decision-making.
  • Understand how to position the organization for success.
  • Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance, and timely delivery aligned with customer expectations.
  • Oversee discrete manufacturing processes including press, punch, welding, and laser operations.
  • Lead the expansion of the Southwest facility, phase 1 with approximately 250 employees, and potential future growth to 500-600 employees.
  • Ensure efficient production planning and assembly processes involving fabrication and numerous components.
  • Hands-on involvement in manufacturing activities, including building organizational processes, training, and coaching staff.
  • Own the entire plant operation including building layout, HR strategy, and culture establishment.
  • Represent the company in Arizona, embodying its values and mission.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish and possess extensive experience in discrete manufacturing and operations.

Required Experience/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a manufacturing focus; Master's degree in Engineering and/or Business Operations Management preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 10 years as a Site leader of a mid-size operation with a one-piece flow production model.
  • Strong communication and inspiring leadership skills in a context of rapid growth.
  • Organized and structured with the ability to analyze complex situations and a solution-oriented mindset in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Rigorous with the ability to tolerate ambiguity and drive results collaboratively.
  • Highly motivated to continuously improve performance.
  • Experience managing large teams (80+ people).
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical component assembly and fabrication processes.
  • Extensive experience in discrete manufacturing is a must.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and mechanical datacenter operations is advantageous.
