Evans Fears Schuttert McNulty Mickus, a trial litigation firm has an opening in our Irvine, California office for an Administrative Assistant. Two (2) years' experience with a litigation firm is preferred.
This position works with a team of attorneys and paralegals and performs a variety of duties. This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including medical and dental insurance along with 401k with employer contribution.
Responsibilities and Skills:
Perform administrative assistant functions for attorneys requiring knowledge of format, procedures, and legal terminology.
Prepare, edit, proofread, and maintain a variety of legal documents, including but not limited to correspondence, motions, subpoenas, opinions, complaints, declarations, discovery requests and pleadings associated with discovery and trial preparation.
Scheduling duties to include appointments, depositions, conference calls, site inspections, medical examinations, order court reporters, interpreters, videographers, and conference rooms, as needed.
Consistent attendance in the office is required.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and must be computer-literate with a variety of computer software programs, or capable of receiving necessary training to become proficient.
Working familiarity with all California and Federal Court procedures and requirements.
Ability to work under pressure, follow directions, and meet deadlines in that environment.
Attention to detail required.
Hourly wage range is $24.00/hr to $34.00/hr depending on experience.
