Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
• Field Service Engineer are to provide on and off-site technical support to customers requesting assistance with hardware and software related to their PROGNOST online condition monitoring systems, installed across the Americas region.
• Provide world-class customer service to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
• Provide professional, expert and precise service work measured by post-service customer surveys and feedback.
• Disseminate "best-practice" reciprocating compressor knowledge to compressor users to optimize safe compressor performance.
• Deliver professional, fluent, accurate and straightforward reports for each service activity.

Duties
• Planning, preparing, and executing onsite system maintenance on existing systems and computer hardware, providing hardware and software support and troubleshooting, verifying proper installation of field wiring and sensor installation by customer or OEM.
• Assisting with onsite system commissioning including but not limited to Site Acceptance Testing, and post-start-up support to client.
• Ability to accurately document service actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records for future use.
• Customer training on and off site.
• Recommending upgrades, improvements, and training to customers.

Education/Experience
• Minimum of a (2) two-year college degree in electronics, information systems or relevant field is required. Equivalent training or experience can be substituted.
• Demonstrate a minimum of (3) three-years of relevant experience in similar industries, markets, and roles.
• Experience in successful client/vendor relationships.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide clear instructions or explanations.
• Understand digital solution (hardware and software) for machinery from your machinery diagnostic, IoT / cloud solutions.
• Basic of compressors machinery principle and operation.
  • Familiarity with international business practices and regulations.
  • English- fluent spoken and written
  • Spanish desirable

Skills
• Knowledge in computer electronics, including hardware components and software applications. Familiarity with various operating systems, programming languages, and database systems.
• Minimum of three year's industrial field experience, preferably in refining or petrochemical plant applications, in installing and maintaining low voltage (24VDC, 120VAC) electrical instrumentation and computer related equipment including troubleshooting and repair.
• Must have working knowledge of network systems and protocols, particularly TCP/IP. Ability to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot network connections.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. This includes the ability to use diagnostic tools and follow troubleshooting procedures.
• Extensive knowledge using a variety of test equipment, including, digital multi-meter, 4-20ma signal generator, and oscilloscope.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand both electrical loop diagrams and P&ID diagrams.
• Familiarity with or knowledge of either reciprocating compressor or centrifugal compressor operation is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed, which may involve ~20-60% within North and South America and internationally as necessary.
• A valid driver's license, use of dependable transportation, and a certificate of insurance.
• The ability to obtain, if not already in possession of, a US passport and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on a periodic basis.
• Participate in onboarding and regular company-wide random drug screening program and background checks. If there are any reasons or exceptions that should be considered, please provide this information during the interview process.

• Strong leadership and soft skills.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to adapt the message and communication style to the audience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in site management.
