Position: Equity Research Analyst for U.S. long-only micro-cap and small-cap products
Location: Lisle, Illinois (west suburban Chicago)
Job Description: Oberweis Asset Management seeks an Equity Research Analyst to join our investment team in support of the management of our U.S. Micro-Cap Growth and U.S. Small Cap Opportunities products. The applicant will ultimately be expected to assist in the research of new investment ideas and take responsibility for assigned coverage of current holdings allocated to them by the portfolio manager. The applicant should be team-oriented, energetic, and passionate about stock investing. Strong analytical and verbal/written skills are a must.
This position will start full-time in-office with the potential for work-from-home flexibility in the future.
Education/Experience: We seek a candidate with 2 to 4 years of experience in one of the following areas: investment banking, sell-side equity research, buy-side equity research, corporate finance, or mergers/acquisitions consulting.
Bachelor's degree required. CFA's and/or CFA candidates are preferred. Applicants should have a proficient understanding of accounting and finance.
Compensation: Base salary plus performance-based incentive. We are seeking a candidate with confidence in their abilities and a desire to share in future product success.
