My client is a top fintech firm providing modular alternative investment solutions for RIAs, Broker Dealers, Private Banks, and Family offices. They are looking to bring on a senior-level candidate with experience in fund onboarding, and product structuring/development to join their direct fund business. This role will report to the Managing Director/Head of Fund Origination, working with a team that is responsible for new product development, product structuring, manager onboarding and fund lifecycle management. This role will be responsible for leading and helping manage the onboarding and product lifecycle of various alternative investment vehicles across structures and asset classes prevalent in the market. These will primarily be products created by third party alternative asset managers that are looking to utilize the the firm's technology to facilitate the subscription and reporting processes for the wealth management channel.
Responsibilities
Lead the team responsible for all new direct and registered fund onboarding projects, working across the organization to ensure on-time and successful completion.
Work with key clients,both asset managers and wealth managers, and their service providers (attorneys, fund administrators, and transfer agents, etc.), communicating processes and requirements, recommending best practices and leading overall project management to launch their funds onto the platform.
Drive prioritization and lead the build out of procedures related to adding new funds, product structures, expanding product distribution channels and lifecycle management.
Manage the team dedicated to the function as well as support other members of the team working on fund launches.
Represent the company as a subject matter expert on the platform and the products we support.
Prepare and present new funds to various decision-making groups.
Assist in various ad hoc fund launch activities.
Help drive the rollout of new platform functionality impacting the fund launch and lifecycle management process.
Company Requirements:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or another related field
10+ years of product structuring experience with exposure to fund administration, fund management or custodial relationships
Experience in alternative investments with a focus in various fund structures is required
People management skills is a plus
Positive attitude and a desire to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
Detail oriented, self-starter that is accustomed to project work with tight deadlines
Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments
