Hiring Accounts Receivable Clerk. The AR Clerk will be responsible for the accurate maintenance of the company's receivables through collection of past due accounts, research and resolving customer discrepancies. You will also assist in applying payments quickly and accurately.
Location: Sugarland, Tx 77478
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: $25.00 per hour.
Duties:
Contact customers with past due accounts by email and phone and take appropriate action to bring current.
Follow up with the customers on payment status as needed.
Update report with collection efforts, and the resolutions.
Answer customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Apply cash application accurately and within established timelines.
Apply daily cash applications, including lockbox checks and ACH by accurately applying payments against the correct invoice.
Notify collectors of any issues, whether short paid or overpaid invoices, so they can resolve them with the customers.
Must be able to reconcile complex accounts.
Balance cash posted to bank deposits daily.
Perform posting reversals resulting from returned checks.
Process payment reapplications and adjustments to existing invoice remittances when necessary.
Ensure overall efficiency of cash application function and timely application of cash to accurately report delinquency as well as timely posting of late charges.
Engage in ad hoc AR-related projects as needed.
Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent experience or comparable education.
1 year of AR experience with an emphasis on cash application and collections.
Ability to interface with customers and coworkers on a professional and personable level.
Ability to utilize computer and navigate software comfortably.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Knowledge of an ERP system or strong desire to learn. Infor experience a plus.
Ability to use Excel.
Superior attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines, strong time management.
