As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations by providing insightful cost analysis and ensuring financial integrity throughout our organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze costs, assess financial performance, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Analysis and Reporting: Conduct thorough analysis of manufacturing costs, overheads, and variances to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Prepare detailed cost reports and financial forecasts.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide timely explanations and corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, and analysis. Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
  • Financial Controls: Establish and maintain robust financial controls related to cost accounting processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in cost accounting procedures. Implement best practices to streamline operations and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, operations, and procurement teams to align cost management strategies with business objectives. Provide financial insights and support to senior management and department heads.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role, with at least [number] years in a senior or lead capacity.
