The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the company's financial transactions are correctly recorded. This role involves managing the full cycle of accounting duties, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Record Keeping:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and account statements.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
Accounts Payable:
Process invoices and ensure timely payment of bills.
Verify and reconcile supplier statements.
Manage vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable:
Prepare and issue invoices to customers.
Track and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconcile accounts receivable balances.
Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records.
Identify and resolve discrepancies.
Payroll:
Process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries and wages.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Provide financial reports and analysis to management as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
