As the Manager of Payroll, you'll oversee payroll functions for the Americas (US) region. Your role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance, and optimizing processes. Looking for someone who has 5+ years in a supervisory role and experience processing payroll using Workday. Here are the key responsibilities:
Lead a team of 7 direct reports across three U.S. regions
Foster a high-performing culture, emphasizing accountability and quality service to HR Shared Service customers.
Develop payroll strategies in collaboration with HR, Legal, Finance, and Tax Departments.
Drive automation initiatives and customer-centric improvements.
Cultivate strong relationships with third-party vendors handling unemployment claims, garnishments, commuter benefits, and health and welfare.
Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and identify trends for process enhancements.
Contribute to the design and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures.
Collaborate closely with the Payroll Accounting Department to guarantee accurate and timely payments and deductions.
Stay informed about changes in U.S. employment tax legislation, FLSA, state wage laws, and garnishment administration.
Provide sign-off on payroll staff processing and auditing for approximately 15,000 U.S. domestic employees across weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly pay cycles.
Requirements:
Degree in Business/HR or equivalent work experience
5+ years' experience managing a multi-state payroll function
Experience with Workday required as well as ADP
American Payroll Association and/or SHRM member preferred
