Job Title: Senior IT Asset Analyst

Location: North Kansas City

Position Type: Full-Time

Environment: Fully onsite for the first 60-90 days or until management allows for a hybrid schedule.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT Asset Analyst with a strong background in ServiceNow and hospital operations. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in IT Asset Management. The Sr. IT Asset Analyst will uphold the highest standards of hardware and software asset management set forth by the organization and will be responsible for the business practices that join financial, contractual, and inventory functions to support life cycle management and support the strategic plan for the IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management:
  • Perform hardware asset administration by identifying and tracking designated IT assets, their locations, and owners.
  • Track hardware lifecycles for leasing and regular replacement of aged equipment.
  • Determine hardware standards to align with industry best practices and organizational trends.
  • Manage the CMDB relationships for the current inventory.
  • Make acquisition recommendations for hardware based on predetermined thresholds.
  • Report on hardware inventory and service locations.
  • Use tools like Absolute, ServiceNow Discovery, and PDQ Inventory to determine and query hardware/software connected to the domain.
  • Install/push new software and patch current software as needed.

License Management:
  • Perform software license administration by using supplied tools to track software, manage the CMDB, monitor software renewals and subscriptions, and engage in licensing best practices.
  • Develop and maintain the license management database and standardization for CI's.
  • Participate in licensing audits, ensuring licenses are compliant with vendor usage.
  • Develop standards for bulk purchasing and work with vendors to negotiate the best prices, contracts, and EULA's.
  • Lead asset management team in building a repository of software licenses and purchase documentation for compliance and risk aversion.

IT Procurement:
  • Obtain quotes and purchase hardware and software according to IT-approved standards.
  • Review IT contracts (Software, EULA's, Contractors, & Confidential agreements).
  • Perform basic budgeting and accounting to research payment, tracking of invoices, and assignment of department account numbers.

  • Assist the asset analyst team with ServiceNow requests, procurement, and deployment as needed.

Healthcare Operations Support:
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to understand their IT asset needs and provide timely solutions.
  • Ensure IT assets are deployed and maintained in compliance with hospital standards and healthcare regulations.
  • Support the integration of new technologies and systems within the hospital environment.

Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for improving asset management processes and implement best practices.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT asset management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of asset management policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience:
  • 5-6 years of experience in IT Asset Management and healthcare operations.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow, including asset management and reporting. ServiceNow SAMPRO is a must.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience auditing hardware and software assets.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of software and hardware terminology to include licensing requirements.
  • Knowledge of purchasing ordering systems, billing, and invoicing.
  • Ability to create queries or filters to identify specific hardware and software, as needed.
  • Minimize cost and realize ROI through product standardization and tracking.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills within IT and our customers/Vendors.
  • Ability to work as a team to contribute to a positive environment.
  • Strong documentation and process development skills required.
  • Prioritize projects and tasks to meet deadlines as decided by IT Leadership.

Certifications:
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
  • ServiceNow certification is a plus.
