Job Description:

Scrum Master

Large Retail Client

Duration: Through the end of the year for now - rolling.

Primarily Remote - NEEDS to reside in the Charlotte Area or Greensboro Area

MUST HAVES:

1. Scrum Master Experience--very focused on scrum master duties--ability to explain agile ceremonies

2. Scrum Master Certification Preferred---minimum of two years with Scrum Master with certification or 3 years of experience without Scrum Master certifications. Would love to see someone that was a previous SM for a development team.

3. Providing indirect leadership to scrum team

4. Ability to effectively support the Scrum team

5. Strong technical skills, leadership skills, communication is a must

6. Critical thinking and problem solving

Description:

Helps oversee the scrum and development team. They are knowledgeable in Agile methodology and scrum and able to educate others. They also act as a buffer between the scrum team and product owner and maintain a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution.

As a scrum master, the candidate will help oversee the scrum and development team. They are knowledgeable in Agile methodology and scrum and able to educate others. They also act as a buffer between the scrum team and product owner and maintain a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution. Identify, track, manage, escalate and report on risks and issues. Create & publish weekly project status reports & host Steering Committee meetings. Negotiates and aligns the expectations with the capacity/ commitment and the team deliverables. Keeps the RTE/ Program Manager and Portfolio lead informed of the milestones/ deliverables of the team. Escalates as needed to remove impediments for the team.

As a project manager, the candidate will be responsible for end-to-end execution and on time, on budget and on scope delivery of the project; responsible for financial management, risk management and dependency management for the project; responsible for developing a comprehensive project plan; Accountable for maintaining the RAID log; Escalates when required and holds people accountable for mitigation and resolution of risk and issues.

Works with Project Accountants to get information for Financial Management on the project.

Responsible for managing changes in project scope, objectives, requirements, and resources?and adherence to change control policies.

Collaborates with other project managers for dependencies and manages them with minimal impact to delivery.

Manages and tracks interdependencies and interfaces with related projects?.

Tools:

Familiarity with Mural, JIRA, Confluence, agile processes and tools

Education: BA in technology--nice to have not required

Certifications: Scrum Master preferred
