This position will ensure growth of our client's energy storage portfolio through post-acquisition project development for solar PV and hybrid (solar + BESS) projects. This is not an origination or Business Development role. There will be significant focus on CAISO and ERCOT markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Formulate entry strategies for developing projects in new markets
Create investment committee paper to seek necessary approvals
Work with internal and external stakeholders for greenfield and acquisitions. This includes, legal, financial, technical, permitting, etc.
Preparation and submission of permitting and interconnection applications
Manage all permitting including land, environmental surveys
Collaboration with local communities and stakeholders, navigate any opposition
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Engineering, Energy Development
5+ years of relevant work experience in renewable energy project development
3+ years developing utility scale solar & BESS projects
Development experience in CAISO, ERCOT, SPP
Experience creating, reviewing, and participating in management of contracts, schedules, and budgets
