Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer Engineering
10 or more years of professional experience in a large enterprise or service provider space;
Experience working with;
ISIS, MPLS, and Segment Routing
BGP routing and route reflectors
Multi-VRF environments with traffic shaping and QoS
IP Address Management, DNS, and DHCP
High availability, failover, and redundant configurations
Network security design considerations and firewalls
Other services such as TACACS, ISE, VPN
Network automation or scripting with Python, Bash, Ansible
Nice to Have skills and Experience:
Professional networking certifications are a plus - CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.
Public cloud certifications are a plus - advanced networking, cloud network engineer, or equivalent.
Job Description:
A large telecommunications company headquartered in Littleton, CO is looking for a Staff Network Engineer to support their nationwide 5G wireless initiative. This person will be working on the design, engineering, and deployment of network routing devices for a nationwide 5G network buildout. This person will need to be able to provide advanced expertise in the planning and development of network test, validation, and integration plans on projects and assurance of network integrity. Other responsibilities will include reviewing architectural requirements, providing analysis for network and service specifications, and design and implement complex LAN/WAN configurations at a nationwide scale.
This position is currently slated as a 3-month contract to hire. This person will sit 5 days on-site at the Englewood, CO location.
