We are looking for an intellectually curious and driven individual to join our FP&A and Operations Finance team and lead our Engineering Finance function. The group is responsible for informing company strategy, owning planning and forecasting, and performing financial analyses throughout the company to drive critical decision-making. This Director level role will report to the VP of Finance for Ohmium and be the business partner to the Chief Technology Officer. This individual will also work directly with the CFO and CEO.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key partner to Head of Engineering with a primary goal of driving product cost structure down.
Owns the product cost roadmap and cost reduction cadence to drive alignment and accountability across Engineering and Supply Chain organizations.
Provides financial analysis and insights to inform decision making including should-costing for bill ofmaterials and CAPEX investment ROI assessment.
Create and manage short and longer term financial forecast for Engineering organization.
Manage 1-2 team members based in India collocated with Engineering teams.
Partners with Finance and Engineering leadership to prepare board materials, presentations, and monthly reporting
Develops metrics to track business unit-specific and company-wide trends, identify risks and opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels with a bias towards driving action
Enables an analytical, financial approach to influence strategic decision-making across the company
LOCATION, TRAVEL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Hybrid in-office and work remotely
Work location is the Ohmium US, CA (bay-area) office in Newark
Must be willing to occasionally interface with time different time zones such as India, EU
FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENT
Bachelor's degree required; business, accounting, finance, management, or economics preferred
Advanced business degree in finance, accounting, or management preferred
