About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Launch Specialist (Commercial Readiness) who will be responsible for supporting the launch, ramp-up, and production activities for a state-of-the-art cell therapy commercialization process. This person will play a key role in designing and leading transformation as the Company transitions from developmental to a commercial stage. This individual will be responsible for managing various functional projects within the commercialization process, which will develop the overall governance across functional programs within the Company. He/she must have proven experience to successfully deliver on a diverse portfolio that will include supporting business and compliance objectives by ensuring projects and programs are aligned with the organization's goals and strategies. As a strategic role and key player for the organization, this position will closely collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, and be prepared to tackle a broad selection of challenges as the company grows. Ideal candidate would have been actively engaged in at least 1 or 2 cell and gene therapy products / biopharmaceutical product launches.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the COO and leadership team in all aspects of commercial and business strategy, operations, planning, and performance management
  • Assist in development of a comprehensive, cross-functionally integrated, insight-driven global commercialization strategy.
  • Analyze external environment, market trends, in preparation for launch.
  • Manage deployment of a comprehensive stage-gated operating plan and oversee market and company readiness activities leading up to and through commercial launch.
  • Facilitate design and deployment of integrated company and product communication plans in partnership with CMO office and other relevant functions for successful product launch.
  • Provide commercial input to drug discovery, pipeline strategy, and program prioritization.

Qualifications:

Educational & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, marketing, or finance required; MBA/graduate level degree preferred.
  • At least 4 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or related consulting work directly with sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of combined commercial launch experience, including strategy.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of details and activities within the commercial function.
  • Cell/gene therapy and/or CDMO experience is a plus.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and effectively integrate with external collaborators to drive projects/programs forward in a matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task several objectives in parallel and to work independently with a high level of accountability.
  • Must be able to manage shifting priorities to meet critical deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic, growing environment, while providing clear direction to team members.
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to lead as a change agent to promote flexibility, creativity, and accountability.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build strong working relationships at all levels within the organization.
