QuantumScape is seeking an experienced and highly motivated failure analysis engineer. You will work in our state-of-the art lab, developing new test methods and characterization techniques that steer improvements to our novel solid-state battery processes and materials.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
PhD in materials science, chemical engineering, applied physics, or related field preferred OR MS with a minimum of 3 years experience in materials research and development OR BS with a minimum of 5 years experience in materials research and development
Proficiency in materials characterization and experimentation
Ability to communicate clearly and candidly; strong affinity for teamwork
Comfortable working in a glovebox, dry room, or fume hood

HIGHLY DESIRED:
Knowledge of statistical approaches for analyzing large datasets
Fluency in scripting languages for data analysis
Hands-on experience in failure analysis of materials and devices
Familiarity with electrochemistry or energy storage-related technologies
This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this role has a range of $123,700 to 198,000, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan.
