Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Reliability Engineering Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, particularly in maintenance, reliability, and operational excellence within a warehouse or distribution center environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Maintenance Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies that optimize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and reduce maintenance costs.
  2. Lead Reliability Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for reliability improvements through data analysis, root cause analysis, and failure mode analysis. Lead initiatives to enhance equipment and process reliability.
  3. Establish Preventive Maintenance Programs: Create and manage preventive maintenance schedules for critical warehouse equipment and systems. Ensure adherence to maintenance procedures and schedules.
  4. Manage Maintenance Team: Directly supervise maintenance technicians and engineers. Provide guidance, training, and performance management to ensure high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
  5. Implement Asset Management Practices: Develop and implement asset management practices to optimize the lifecycle of warehouse equipment. Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessary.
  6. Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement in reliability and maintenance practices. Implement best practices and benchmarking to achieve operational excellence.
  7. Ensure Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards. Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  8. Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining high reliability standards.
  9. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with warehouse operations, engineering, and procurement teams to coordinate maintenance activities, support operational needs, and implement projects.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in maintenance management/reliability engineering within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, reliability engineering principles, and asset management practices.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS), data analysis tools, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to warehouse operations.
